MISSION
  • The College will try to acquaint students with the ethos of nationality with different programmes on Indian culture, heritage, observing national days, seminars on leaders, global environment and sustainability, inclusive education, thinking beyond class, caste gender, commemorating birth anniversary of our leaders, scientists.
  • The college will strive for procuring the best of academic opportunities to all categories of students irrespective of class, caste and religion. This would be done by organising seminars on relevant topic, extension lectures, student centric learning, different modern teaching techniques related to modern pedagogy, faculty exchange programmes, MOUs and faculty development programmes, rigorous training of students through academic calendar and continuous internal evaluation.
  • The college will strive to improve the infrastructure facility by incorporating technological support system for classroom teaching and management, to convert every classroom as ICT enabled, to increase the budget for providing modern equipment to facilitate teaching-learning situation with upgradation of library facility and purchasing of e-journals, member of N-list, increasing library hours and providing reprographic facility, LMS software and effective feedback system.
  • The college envisages developing foundation for research activities within the curricular structure and beyond, enriching research experiences would be provided as far as possible by allocation of funds in student research projects, organising workshops on research methodology, organising field research, different projects, encouraging teachers to enrol in research programmes, pursuing M.Phil. and Ph.D degrees, encouraging research collaborations.
  • In order to move towards sustainability in employment market and keeping in view the demands of the industry, the college will take initiative to overhaul the placement cell, insisting personnel from corporate houses to acquaint the students regarding the need and scope of the industry, organising workshops by different corporate houses, having two MOUs with major corporate houses to ensure maximum amount of placements for aspiring students.
  • The college aspire to be digitally enabled office automation, use of MIS software, biometric attendance, e-appraisal diary for Teach and Non-teaching staff, e-asset register will be maintained.
  • With a vision of expression the college has moved forward to purchase a land for its second campus in Sonarpur (South 24 Parganas District) to reach out to the extreme rural belt of the district to extend quality education to the womenfolk.
