PROGRAMME OFFERED: BACHELOR OF COMMERCE (HONOURS IN ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE)

PROGRAMME SPECIFIC OUTCOME

Every industry requires people with the knowledge of accounting, finance, taxation, marketing and management. A commerce student can fulfil such requirements in a convenient manner.

After completing B. Com (Hons. in Accounting), a student can basically choose any one of the following options (or a combination of both):
1. Further study.
2. Immediate job.

The B.Com (Hons. in accounting and finance) graduates can pursue Post Graduate Studies like M.Com. MBA, MCA, and professional studies under the Institute Of Chartered Accountant Of India, Institute of Cost Accountant of India, Institute Of Company Secretaries of India, Institute of Chartered Financial Analyst of India etc. to become Chartered Accountant(CA), Cost and Management Accountant(CMA),Company Secretary(CS), Chartered Financial Analyst(CFA)etc. After their Post-Graduation, they may do M.Phil. or Ph.D. and take teaching as their career in higher education institutions like Degree colleges and Universities. Even they can serve the industries also, On the other hand, the professionals can serve industry or can engage themselves as independent practitioner.

A student with only B. Com (Hons. in accounting and finance) level knowledge can choose their immediate as well as long term career option in banking sectors, insurance sectors, other business sectors in the field of accounting, finance and marketing, HR, stock exchange services, tax consultancy, entrepreneurship etc.
