Notice Regarding Noesis (Call For Papers)
ISSUE 1 (2023)
Noesis is a bilingual (Bengali and English language) interdisciplinary journal published by Sivanath Sastri College. Publication follows an annual cycle.
The college has successfully published its own peer reviewed Research Journal ‘Noesis’ on 8th August, 2022. We are pleased to announce that we have started preparing for our next Volume of Noesis, which will be our second volume.
We are requesting teachers, research fellows and other academicians to participate in our venture by submitting their Research Articles or Book Reviews.
Our theme for this issue is “Pandemic : Transient Virulence, Permanent Significance”. Sub-Themes include –
1. Pandemic as an Epistemological Challenge
2. Pandemic and Socio-Cultural Changes : Transience and Permanence
3. Pandemic and Economy
4. Pandemic and Literature
5. Pandemic and Politics : Critiquing Crisis and Its Manifestations
6. Other themes related to the Pandemic.
Citation Style : Chicago, 17th Edition
Language : British English for English, Bengali will be as per usual usage in West Bengal.
Word Count :
For abstract : 100 words for article (abstract not required for book reviews)
For full article : 3500-5000 for articles and 2000 for book reviews.
Important Dates:
Abstract Submission: Last Date October 15th, 2023
Acceptance of Abstract: November 15th, 2023
Full Article Submission of accepted Abstracts: December 30th, 2023
