YEAR OF ESTABLISHMENT- 2009

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA–

Admission criteria is as per Calcutta University regulation. All qualified students are eligible to take admission in the General Course. For Honours students, except for Education Honours and students opting for Education as general subject are not eligible to opt Women’s Studies as a General subject.

ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED BY THE DEPARTMENT–

Special Lectures: Special lectures are arranged by the department on a regular basis. In the last session two lectures were organised for the first year and second year students.

Educational trips: A day tripsisorganised by the Department for the first year students.

Other activities:

• Students take part in Extension Programmes along with the NSS to carry out their social responsibilities.
• Students organise Teachers Day Programmes.
