Clubs Managed by the Students-
The students of the College run a number of clubs in order to promote the skills of the students in cultural activities. The Drama Club, for example, organizes special training program in collaboration with “Bohurupee”, an eminent theatre group of Kolkata. Under the tutelage of celebrated thespian Sri Chandan Sen the members of the Drama Club staged a Charity performance of its production in 2018 to help a rural hospital run by “Sramajivi Swasthya Uddyog” in far flung Sundarban region. A number of the members of the Drama Club are now regularly acting with celebrated theatre groups of the City.
The Paintings and Photography Club actively encourages the students to showcase their skills in the respective fields. Periodic exhibitions are hosted by the clubs which create great enthusiasm among the students.
The College periodically organizes inter-class debates as well as academic mentoring by inviting eminent persons in such fields. Celebrated social activists, physicians nutritionist are invited under Extension activities to make the students socially aware responsible citizens in future. A weekly Health Camp is run by two faculties of the college for nearly one decade for the patients hailing from nearby slums and its success is illustrious.
The College is declared as a “Plastic Free Zone” and the students are made aware about the hazards associated with the use of plastic. They are also encouraged to use products which are bio-degradable and environment friendly.
